Meet the Mayor of Peccioli

Renzo Macelloni

Renzo Macelloni served as Mayor of Peccioli from 1988 to 2004, was re-elected in 2014, and is currently in office. In 1997, he founded Belvedere S.p.A., one of Italy’s first public companies, majority-owned by the Municipality of Peccioli and supported by local shareholders. Belvedere focuses on non-hazardous waste management, renewable energy production, and experimental sustainability projects. In 2004, he founded the Peccioliper Foundation, promoting culture and landscape as essential drivers of economic and community development.

Meet the Festival's Artistic Director

Adonis Rose

Adonis Rose is a Grammy Award–winning artist, composer, educator, and producer from New Orleans. He has performed and recorded with leading figures in jazz, including Terence Blanchard, Dianne Reeves, Wynton Marsalis, and Nicholas Payton, and appeared on world-renowned stages such as Carnegie Hall, the Apollo Theater, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and major international jazz festivals.

In 2017, Rose was named Artistic Director of the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra (NOJO), leading the ensemble into its first concert season and expanding its artistic, educational, and community programs. A prolific producer and bandleader, he continues to record, tour, and develop projects that honor the legacy and future of New Orleans jazz.

Jazz Peccioli: The New Orleans Experience celebrates the deep cultural roots of jazz while honoring Peccioli’s commitment to contemporary art, creativity, and global dialogue. By blending New Orleans’ musical heritage with Tuscany’s landscape and artistic spirit, the festival creates a space for cultural exchange, storytelling, and shared experience.
