Discover Peccioli
Peccioli is a town of 4,646 inhabitants in the heart of Tuscany, in the province of Pisa, set within a beautiful hilly landscape. Rather than a typical medieval village, Peccioli is a place where historical charm, contemporary art, and environmental innovation come together in a unique and surprising way within the Italian cultural landscape.
An Open-Air Museum
Peccioli’s ancient walls enclose a beautifully preserved historic center, where stone-paved alleys and charming squares unfold alongside striking contemporary art installations. In recent decades, the town has transformed into a true open-air museum, where contemporary works engage in a harmonious dialogue with its medieval architecture.

A Sustainability Model
What makes Peccioli truly unique is its pioneering approach to sustainability. The town has transformed an environmental challenge into an opportunity for renewal, becoming an internationally recognized example of how a community can invest in culture, quality of life, and beauty through forward-thinking environmental stewardship.
A Stage in Harmony with the Landscape
In 2005, 11Lune was founded, a theater and music festival held each year during the month of July. The festival takes its name from its format, traditionally presenting eleven performances. 11Lune takes place in an amphitheater built entirely with eco-friendly materials, using advanced bio-building techniques inspired by a philosophy of deep respect for the environment.
The Fonte Mazzola Amphitheater, named after a historic nearby farm, hosts the festival in complete harmony with the surrounding landscape. The stage is designed without a traditional curtain structure, allowing the audience to take in sweeping views of the Tuscan hills that frame the performance space.

A Place of Great Artistic Encounters
Over the years, the festival has welcomed many renowned personalities from the worlds of music, theatre, and entertainment. Among the artists who have performed are Renzo Arbore, Salvatore Accardo, Arnoldo Foà, Gabriele Lavia, Giorgio Panariello, Pooh, Gino Paoli, Massimo Ranieri, Danilo Rea, Riccardo Cocciante, Fiorella Mannoia, Antonella Ruggiero, Giorgio Albertazzi, Mario Biondi, The Kolors, Alvaro Soler, Barbara De Rossi, Amanda Sandrelli, Antonello Venditti, Michele Placido, Stefano Accorsi, Giancarlo Giannini, Max Gazzè, Gianna Nannini, Stefano Massini, Monica Guerritore, Orchestra della Toscana, Piero Pelù, The Divine Comedy, Deacon Blues, Vasco Brondi, and The Waterboys.
